DIN ISO 20121:2012

Many large companies must fulfill a reporting requirement, as outlined by the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), which replaced the NFRD (Non-financial Reporting Directive), and the CSR-RUG in Germany.

Overview
ISO 20121 was inspired by the sustainable planning of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. At the heart of ISO 20121 are the three pillars of sustainability: Environmental protection, social impacts, and economic impacts.
ISO 20121’s holistic approach is underlined by its versatility and integrability. The standard follows the Plan-Do-Check-Act Cycle (PDCA Cycle) and the High-Level-Structure, this makes it possible to easily integrate other management systems, which also follow the High-Level-Structure. These are, amongst others: ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.​
