Sustainable event management

- Sustainable joy -

ISO 20121?

DIN ISO 20121:2012

By their nature, there is often a big focus on events from the public eye. These limited timed events, have both a positive and negative social, economic, and environmental impact. Many large companies must fulfill a reporting requirement, as outlined by the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), which replaced the NFRD (Non-financial Reporting Directive), and the CSR-RUG in Germany.

By actively engaging with the system throughout the planning process for events, it is possible to meet specific social, economic, and environmental goals.

Optimising cost, efficiency and compliance can be achieved by receiving a certification for your sustainable event management system in accordance with DIN ISO 20121:2012, or ISO 20121. A win for the environment, society, as well as your image.

ISO 14001

ISO 20121 was inspired by the sustainable planning of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. At the heart of ISO 20121 are the three pillars of sustainability: Environmental protection, social impacts, and economic impacts.

ISO 20121’s holistic approach is underlined by its versatility and integrability. The standard follows the Plan-Do-Check-Act Cycle (PDCA Cycle) and the High-Level-Structure, this makes it possible to easily integrate other management systems, which also follow the High-Level-Structure. These are, amongst others: ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.
